Phytopoïesis is an interactive visual and sound art installation composed of a living plant capable of generating images using artificial intelligence.
Sensitive to our electrostatic energy, the plant reacts to human touch and proximity with evolving sound characters and images.
The artists
Scénocosme : Grégory Lasserre & Anaïs Met den Ancxt
Plastic artists based in Lyon, Grégory and Anaïs like twisting various technologies to create contemporary artworks. They develop the notion of interactivity, according which the artwork exists and evolutionate thanks to the participants’ corporal and social behaviors. They reach surprising hybridizations between technologies and living or natural elements.
Their works are exhibited in numerous museums, centres for contemporary art and digital art centres around the world, among which Biennial International of Contemporary Art of Seville (Spain), Biennial Experimenta (Australia), NAMOC / National Art Museum of China (Beijing).
