“Connecting! Poetics of the Intersection Between Real and Virtual”
As part of its 9th edition, the Recto VRso festival, to be held from November 19 to 22 in Laval, is launching a call for entries on the theme: “Connecting! Poetics of the Intersection Between Real and Virtual”.
The Art & VR Gallery is the official exhibition of Recto VRso, offering more than a dozen international artists the opportunity to exhibit works exploring an annual theme. We invite artists to explore contemporary forms of connection: how it emerges, transforms, fragments, or reinvents itself through immersive, interactive, and digital experiences.
Avatars, doubles, augmented identities, shared presences, collaborative works, sensory or abstract experiences… So many playgrounds to question how we are together today, across multiple realities.
Projects may draw on media such as virtual, augmented or mixed reality, generative artificial intelligence, immersive environments, spatial audio, interactive interfaces, robotics, as well as hybrid and transdisciplinary forms.

Recto VRso
The Recto VRso festival explores new forms of immersive and interactive art, between the real and the virtual. The works selected must resonate with the theme and invite the exploration of emerging expressions using digital media in particular, such as: virtual, augmented or mixed reality, immersive devices, generative artificial intelligence, interactive interfaces, robotics, sound spatialisation, presence effects and so on. Hybrid and transdisciplinary approaches are particularly appreciated.
