Interior and exterior, transparency and opacity, exhibitionism and voyeurism, feminine and masculine; all these notions oppose or unite in the infinite cycle of a labyrinth with a dead end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life here is like a loom whose living weft is woven from a myriad of branching threads and paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The installation is inspired by key works of classical art and Japanese literature (such as The Tale of Genji<\/em> by Murasaki Shikibu and Bedside Notes<\/em> by Sei Shonagon).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is also used the Fukinuki Yatai technique (translated as “roof removed”), from traditional Japanese painting, which represents the interior of a building, seen from above, without a ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boris Labb\u00e9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Boris Labb\u00e9 is a French artist and animation film director. Based on his drawing activity, his work is characterized by hybridization, combining the use of digital moving image techniques with those specific to animated film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His “expanded cinema” videos, destined for movie theaters or taking the form of installations, tend to break out of the spatio-temporal framework imposed by classical cinema. His work has been awarded in the most prestigious festivals such as Critic’s Week, Annecy Animation FilmFestival, Animafest Zagreb.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
