TALM Le Mans School of Fine Arts<\/h2>\n\n

TALM, which is based in three cities (Tours, Angers and Le Mans), three d\u00e9partements (Indre-et-Loire, Maine-et-Loire, Sarthe) and two regions (Centre Val-de-Loire and Pays de la Loire), is a major player in higher education and culture in the Loire region.<\/p>\n\n

Since October<\/strong>DNSEP Sound Design, Computational Design & Mechatronics, Design & Territories and Art students have been working on the theme of the exhibition as part of a three-course collaboration: option VR 360 video <\/em>proposed by Marie-Laure Cazin, the Sound technologies: digital audio and sound creation<\/em>led by Olivier Houix and the New realities<\/em> proposed by Ama\u00ebl Bougard.<\/p>\n\n

Last January, the students had the opportunity to meet Judith Guez and present their work to her. As part of a partnership with TALM-Le Mans, a number of projects have been selected for the 2024 edition of Recto VR<\/em> and will be on show at Lab’R&C<\/strong><\/em>, the festival’s exhibition space dedicated to artist-researchers and students.<\/p>\n\n

360\u00b0 film<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A young foreign man has difficulty socialising and integrating into French society. His unusual vision of reality is a gift that can further isolate him or help him. In this film, the viewer switches between real spaces, recorded with a 360\u00b0 camera, in which the characters move around, and virtual spaces, which describe the thoughts and subjective vision of the main character.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The painter Zo\u00e9 has fallen into a chaotic ocean of time after suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. She tries to reconnect with the world around her by painting self-portraits, seeking to rediscover the lost fragments of her reality. Zo\u00e9 struggles between her inner and outer worlds, clinging tightly to her paintbrush like a lifeline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Mixt Reality<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this artistic project, inspired by Einstein’s theory of relativity, time, space and matter merge into an immersive experience. A portal links the real world to a virtual world where time is represented by particles in three-dimensional space.You can explore and compare the virtual and real worlds through this portal, allowing you to reflect on the nature of the universe and our perception of time and space.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The project takes the form of a telephone with a dial from the 1960s, sitting on a desk. Lit by a lamp and placed next to an address book, the user can dial different numbers, listening to different sound tracks, each with a mood somewhere between the supernatural and the horrific.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
